Renting a motorbike to ride yourself is riskier than it looks. For most foreign visitors a home license is not valid to ride in Vietnam, which can void your insurance if you crash and get you fined. Riding with a Grab bike driver or hiring an easy rider gives you the same freedom without the risk. Finally, do not change your money at the airport. The airport counters give some of the worst rates you will see on the whole trip. Withdraw from a normal bank ATM in town instead, and take out a larger amount at once to save on fees.
