@thesupermains: So I hear a lot about people arguing about Snyder Superman and Gunn Superman but here is something I think a lot of people do not understand. I believe that Zach was building a universe. Much like Marvel. It is often said that the Justice League could in battle basically just sending Superman (at least in power wise) Superman is often seen as a God amongst men as it has been stated about Cavill’s Superman. If this is true, then had the next movie come around, we would’ve seen that power does not always make you invincible. The future universe would have broken Superman and I believe this is why he was darker. It was building to his break. We would’ve all experienced the challenges he would’ve faced. I know that superman is supposed to represent hope. And I agree that he should but I think this universe would have shown us the best version of the league. How strong would they be if Superman was an enemy? And remember this is a Multiverse. So this is only one universe. And if you don’t agree with that, that’s okay but here’s a different take: what if you took Henry Cavill and put him in the Gunn movie? Or Christopher Reeves in the Snyder verse? We should remember that storytelling and directing is not the actor. I standby that Henry Cavill was a fantastic Superman. well yes this makes sense, the point is it was miles to dark and gritty for superman. regardless of context superman as a character shouldnt be in the big screen like that
