yeah it's really messed up how they trying to go all digital, it literally shows hoe they wanna control the market and the prices and licences, and it also shows how greedy they are, one thing i noticed too of discs is that a few years ago when you bought a game in the pack there were a lot of other things like a map, some stickers and photos or manuals, now all disc copies are bland and only contain the cd

You’re dark souls 2 disc was supposed to be apart of a trilogy set with dark souls 1 and 3 which is why they don’t include manuals. If you got the regular one it would include something inside

I just worry about all the game stores. Sure classic game collecting. The experience of going to a game store is unmatched. Like blockbuster was. I feel so bad for game store owners.

The prices aren’t necessarily the issue imo. The real problem is that you don’t actually own anything, you just "own" a license to play the game. It also takes the fun out of collecting. Scrolling through 1,000 digital games will never feel as satisfying or as fun as looking at a shelf of ten physical ones. 💔
