It should also be noted that being an acholic by today's standards and by the standards of the time Poe was alive are two very different things. Poe was likely considered just an average drinker at the time. However, by today's standards he would definitely be considered an alcoholic today. The same goes for Ulysses S. Grant.

Haven't seen this guy in a while. I think I blocked him when he made a video about a topic I was familiar with. I'm not that good at remembering which creators lack credibility so I just block them so I don't accidentally watch or promote misinformation

Also his wife wrote him a letter about a year before his passing and she addressed him as "Edgar Allen Poe". There's a couple of documentaries that are spreading these unfacts.

There’s a lot of debate of the nature of Poe and Virginia’s marriage but to just bluntly claim anything is wild bc that we simply don’t know. To just bluntly claim abuse is even wilder because we have no evidence of that!
