The idea that Pakistanis claim to be Arabs etc didn’t just spring out of thin air , I used to believe it was all just Indian propoganda until I learned many tribes in Punjab like the Arains , Awans and Kiyanis claimed Arab / Persian or other foreign ancestry to dissociate from their native Hindu / Buddhist past. One of the most ironic things about the hardcore islamisation of Pakistan after Zia ul Haq came into power is that he and the common people, including Huzaifa here, still kept one practice going that at its core , is completely opposed to Islam and reflected Pakistan’s non Muslim roots and that was completely shaving the beard and keeping a thick mustache. Another example of this irony would be the wearing of hooped earrings by men , especially in regions like Punjab and Sindh , despite being condemned Islamically.
