@japanquest81: Let’s look at the actual layout of Kansai airport Terminal 1 so you know exactly where to go. Trust me, when you're exhausted after a long flight, the last thing you want is to wander around in circles. The 1st floor is where you handle all your quick travel setups. If you need a moment to breathe and reset, go to Tully’s Coffee on the North side, Starbucks on the South side, or grab a quick drink at the Lawson near the south exit. And here’s that tiny hidden tip: if the main arrival floor bathrooms are packed, use the ones in the basement. Almost nobody goes down there, so they're totally quiet and clean. When you’re ready, move up to the 2nd floor for drugstores and the main food court. But please make sure you’re completely done on the 1st floor first! Going back down is a huge hassle because the down escalators are only in the dead center of the building. Walk to the ends, and you’ll just hit frustrating dead ends.
