I’m very familiar with the garden since I live near it. I bring my students there every year. Quick tip that might be a better thing to do is to get off at Hastings and take the number six in the opposite direction. It’s a cute little town. That’s much nicer than the Yonkers train station and it has lots of great restaurants.
