@antifascistdad: I think Carney may have learned to be an effective apologist for capitalism from a certain slice of recent Catholic heritage. I'll do more on this in an upcoming Antifascist Dad episode, looking more closely at reports from CBC and APTN. #MarkCarney, #CapitalismAsReligion, #ResidentialSchools, #AntifascistDad, #WalterBenjamin
Keep up the good videos. I appreciate professional and well researched videos on amature platforms.

I think he may also understand the importance of the KJV 1611 as one of the foundational documents of the British and eventual Canadian legal/financial trust system....

Everything said can be framed both good and bad. I say it’s good, Carney is helping us to all be pulling in the same direction and committing to incremental change of our current systems. We dream of vast sweeping change but nobody is willing to throw themself or their children into the gears for a Great Leap Forward.

k, but if he didn’t support the system he wouldn’t be a Red Torry leading the Liberal party. He wouldn’t seek a PM position, he would be an anarchist at the extreme but a far left at least. He is deaf to the cries of the suffering.

🙌 however, Important Correction: Robert Carney may have called it a "day school" once he became Superintendent (not just Principal & Teacher) but Thomas Simpson School in Fort Simpson, NWT, was an ✨Indian Residential School and is officially recognized as such by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) that operated until 1988✨ ...Since a "day school" is exclusively where students remained in their home communities and returned to their families every evening... which is not the case for a almost all of pupils from 15 Northern communities who were "boarded" at the School in Fort Simpson at Bompas Hall (Run by the Anglican Church... that still exists today) and Lapointe Hall (Also known as Deh Cho Hall —Roman Catholic Church) ... Even though the boarding structures were technically redesignated "youth hostels" or "pupil residences" ... Children were institutionalized there, experiencing the exact same forced assimilation, family separation, severe mistreatment, and documented loss of life (eg Michael Antoine, 1988) that characterized the broader residential school system. Carney's 1965 CBC Radio interview regarding his then ongoing work in the Thomas Simpson School NWT, exemplifies the TRCs exact findings that there was a "broader ideological effort to pathologize Indigenous culture and justify forced assimilation" which Carney does openly through what he openly refers to as "culturally re****ed children" to describe Indigenous students under his care who were far from the only group whose children lacked "regular school attendance" or came from "non-English speaking backgrounds."
