I’d black unicorn supposed to look like the books I bought in the late 80’s? 😅 I’m glad it’s recommended bc I would definitely have judged it by the cover🫣 but am I the only one that read the Broken Earth series and- to be clear it’s not that I didn’t like it, it just wasn’t life changingly great to me. Regarding Circe- I don’t think the Louvre could live up to the book 😂 can’t wait to dive into the other recs🥰

Tithe by Holly Black. It’s a fucking hot mess upon attempted rereading as an adult but it perfectly encapsulates the early 2000’s and personally kicked off my fascination with fey, including sending me down researching Irish Folklore and Mythology. I believe it also kicked off the ‘fey can’t lie’ trope that some people are disdainful of which kinda makes me giggle if we’re honest.
