Idk I took over one, replaces all the wood with cherry including slabs and stairs and fences, made it my house and made everything a whole farm on one side and a stable on the other, other than them respawning it worked out! They started spawning less and less bc I stayed in the area building,

If youre on Java they spawn in the whole surrounding area, youll need to spawn proof the tower itself and like 50 blocks around it or more

I always go to the top of the roof, create a three jump block, dump a bucket of lava, let it burn. Put lava back in the bucket but quickly cover remaining lava in water creating a stone monolith.

Pillager outposts work by spawning pillagers in a 50 block radius around the tower itself, and in the tower if it’s not properly spawnproofed with slabs. If you’re planning to live in it, I would look up a tutorial on how to convert it into a bad omen farm, and you can either fully complete said farm or just use the tutorial to see how to spawn proof the area.

you could always store a bunch of then underground and prevent them from despawning, then more wont spawn and you dont need to ruin the scenery by slabbing the surrounding area

I once surrounded one with glass so they wouldn't attack the village. left them a span of ten blocks outside and made them a garden. was funny seeing them running around behind the glass 😂😂😂
