@shelkhanmusic: Self as social is not a new idea. Across many Indigenous traditions, the self has long been understood as relational and ancestral; the individual is seen as inseparable from community, land, and those who came before. (And that's before we even get to free will and physical determinism, which is coming.) Next, I'll be further exploring the self as social through a neuroscientific and Buddhist perspective, while continuing to examine some of the challenges of western feminism. #westernfeminism  #feminism  #philosophy  #southasiandiaspora  #womanlifefreedom

Excellent. I once believed that I would do nothing to fight aging. I was wrong; I exercise to avoid pain, but also to prevent looking older. I care for my face, trying to slow the aging, because I have watched ageism impact women older than me.

I admire your eloquence. you put this concept in a way many uni profs I had couldnt distill it to. I also want to add that as anyone left thinking, the discussion of the individual vs the society is the current sticking point on unity on the left. we can each individually express our own freedoms and take our own action in our lives, however, the export of suffering from the west to developing nations means that western movements championing the individual seem incredibly short sighted and frustratingly unaware of the struggles much of the world still faces that remove almost all ability for an individual living under economic and other duress to express their individual will on their own life. Unity is required as soon as possible, and for that, many western people will need to accept that until everyone has their needs met, any prioritizing of secondary wants should be toned down. almost all of western culture is designed to distract us from the ills of the world

Sofiane Boufal was born on 17 September 1993 in Paris, France, to Moroccan parents. Growing up in a modest family, he developed a passion for football at an early age and spent countless hours improving his technique and dribbling skills. Unlike many young players who relied on strength or speed, Boufal became known for his creativity, quick feet, and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations. He began his football journey in the youth system of Angers and worked tirelessly to earn a place in the first team. His performances soon attracted attention across France, and he established himself as one of the country's most exciting young talents. After making a name for himself at Angers, Boufal joined Lille, where his career reached a new level. His dazzling dribbles, spectacular goals, and ability to create chances made him one of the most entertaining players in Ligue 1. During the 2015–16 season, he became a star and was widely regarded as one of the best attacking players in the league. His success earned him a big move to Southampton in the English Premier League. Although injuries and inconsistency made his time in England difficult, he still produced moments of brilliance that showcased his extraordinary talent. One of his most memorable achievements was scoring a stunning solo goal that won the Premier League Goal of the Season award. Boufal later spent time in Spain with Celta Vigo, where he rediscovered his confidence and displayed the flair that had made him famous in France. His ability to dribble past defenders and create opportunities continued to impress fans and football experts alike. Throughout his club career, he played in different countries and adapted to various styles of football while maintaining his reputation as a technically gifted winger. On the international stage, Boufal chose to represent Morocco despite being born in France. This decision made him a beloved figure among Moroccan supporters. He became an important part of the national team and played a significant role in Morocco's historic run at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. During the tournament, Morocco shocked the football world by becoming #boufal #morroco #copadomundo
