im a dispatcher. help was sent as the call came in. people need to realize that this is not the only emergency in the city and resources are not unlimited. the available units may have been across town. it takes time to drive to a call, even if theyre hauling ass. you have NO idea where a responding unit had to start from. they arent always just around the corner and theres only so many on shift at a time.
