the reason its called Pyramid lake is due to the pyramid structures that surround the lake. lava that spewed out when Nevada was underwater, creating them. you can actually climb around the inside of them. have to have the Indian Chiefs permission to be there though.💙

This is all just blatantly wrong. This lake is 11-13k years old and is the remnants of Lake Lahontan. Lake Baikal on the other hand is 25-30 million years old
