I interpret as it’s not a demon. Bear just wished another version of Nikki into existence and it inhabits the same body as Nikki. Not necessarily a demon, but it’s also not who Nikki truly is. The one wish Willow isn’t inherently cursed or demonic, it’s the wish that Bear made that caused other Nikki to come into existence

there are people out there who are irl so obsessed with people they do dangerous things..and we all know that deep within them they KNOW what they are doing is wrong. that's what Nikki is going through. she knows that this behavior is bad and she doesn't know why her waking body is doing this. she is now just a subconscious.
