One of my jobs did something like this 😅 I had written it in the leave book 6 months in advance, made sure to bring it up 3 weeks beforehand, all good? After a plane ride into another state, the manager called me in. yeah, I explained I was off (also in a different state lol) he full on asked me to jump on the next plan back! sir, it was KFC not a lifesaving job 🫠

Don't let employers con with this "request" terminology, you are doing them the courtesy of notifying them of when you will not be there so that they can prepare, you are not requesting anything.

we can book up to 6 weeks off if we've accumulated it just because it takes that long to just enjoy a holiday overseas when leaving from australia 😂😂 and no one can tell us its too much or reverse it after its been approved. the actual audacity lol

I had an issue like this. I put in pto in June for Feb of the next year as we had a family vacation planned for Hawaii. My manager had it approved. Few months later my manager was switched to someone else. I go to look at my Feb schedule when the time came to find I was booked. So I go talk to personnel and she said I never booked it. I said ya I did my old manager approved it. So I went and got my old manager and we went to personnel and she said that ya she approved it, she looks in the system to find my new manager unapproved it. So they went in and changed it back so I had it off and my new manager got spoken to about it. She didn’t talk to me or anything I found out by looking at the schedule.

in germany the company technical COULD cancel your trip but they need to refund thr cost for thr trip. happened to my coworker and my boss had to refund her around 3k
