It's not even comparable. If I were to use the same analogy u used with the NBA. It'll be like an American NBA player winning 2 Olympic medals and 0 nba titles saying it's comparable to 5 nba titles. Mbappe plays for the most talent stacked country, we've seen a spanish golden generation go and do a b2b wc win, so france with 2 golden generations winning twice isn't that far fetched.

World cup should be worth less than it is, it is based on so much luck. If Messi was born in Tonga and was only eligible to play for Tonga he would have zero world cups, the same goes for any player. That would not diminish him as a player whatsoever.
