This would not even work as a ‘test’ of NATO resolve, since Poland would be more than capable of dealing with the situation without NATO help, and especially without US aid.

So Russia wants to march through Belarus, attack a heavily militarized Poland head-on, trigger NATO Article 5, draw Belarus into the fight, get flanked by NATO and Ukraine on each side, while having exhausted much of their military potential and they barely have any fuel. Oh yea, great plan guys
