I mean, really, does it REALLY matter right this moment? No. It doesn’t. Let her have that dang thing. lol. Our daughter was verrrrrry attached!!! She’s 13 now & doesn’t have a pacifier anymore 😂

Pick ur battles! She probably wants it more too bc of rocky and handling all those feelings about it is tough. It’s soothing. She’s still so young. Believe me no one is walking around with a pacifier at 12 years old so she’ll be fine. enjoy each other & chill

As a mother of a 17 and a 19 year old, I was worried about my toddler using a dummy (what we call a pacifier here in the UK) all those years ago. a lovely older lady said “dear, she won’t be walking down the aisle with it, so stop putting so much pressure on yourself.” I used it when it helped us all

Do the things that make your kids happy and your life easier. The world won’t end if you make a decision that is different from another mom’s.

She’s still a baby and she sees Rocky with his so that must be hard for her to understand

Why are people on this app so concerned about pacifiers? Dang, it’s really not that big of a deal. I promise, she won’t go to Jr high with a pacifier. My granddaughter is 4 and won’t drink milk unless it’s from a bottle and warmed when she wakes up, nap time and bedtime, and I don’t even give it a second thought. She needs milk, so her mom chooses her battles and that isn’t one she’s battling.

Yes, give her the pacifier. My son took one until he was 3 1/2 and has perfect teeth. After he was 2 1/2, he only had it at nap time or bedtime. He finally lost it in the couch and we just never looked for it. Just keep doing your best. More importantly, Tate is going through a big change with a baby brother who gets his pacifier. If you try to keep her from having her pacifier and let him have one, she will be jealous of her brother and you don’t want this.

I don’t think giving her the passy for short periods of time is going to delay development , and what is most important is exactly what you both are saying - spending time loving each other.

I’m not a parent. However, as someone who nannied quiet a bit, I’d like to say something. If I’m off base, plz let me know!! I think sometimes parents look at things like giving back the paci or deciding it’s too early to potty train and backing off for a while as failing. You’re NOT failing because you’re doing what’s making life easier and more manageable for you and your children. The time will always come when you and the littles are ready for it. If it’s too much now, you’re not failing. You’re picking up on what’s manageable and right for the family at that given time.

Be are 19 months apart 22 years ago. I did not take away the paci knowing she might need the comfort with all the changes and seeing the baby with it. You are ok.

My husband and I never really worried about whether they should be in bed with us or whether they are too old for a pacifier!! In the end we always just said “they won’t be 15 with pacifiers in bed with us” lol sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do
