The animations are wrong aswell, they're not accurate to actual ballet dancing. Her legs aren't tensed or straight when she has her leg stretched out. It could not be that expensive to hire a ballet dancer for the animations come on you have enough money.

I feel like I’m the only person who despises her design. I hate that she’s wearing gold. Silver would fit so much better. Also the skirt is too bland for me, I wish it was more straight and ballerina like. Now it’s just a mini skirt. You already discussed her shoes so I’m not gonna comment on that.

some ballerinas that also made very nice redesigns of hers were kind enough to enlighten me on the situation.. they FLAMED Hoyo for giving Odette those shoes, haha! because yes, ballet heels used to be a thing, but apparently the dancing style used to be WAYYY different, because the heels limited way more movement than pointe shoes. so basically, you can't mix old ballet heels with modern ballet dancing. there's no way for Odette to actually dance the Swan Lake in ballet heels.

odette, a dancer, can't have different shoes while dancing/attack animation while xilonen, a blacksmith, can casually swap it out. make it make sense 😭 and those hoyo defenders are gonna say oh it's too hard to animate, as if hoyo hasn't already proved they CAN do better but they just keep choosing not to

also her dancing just looks.. awkward. not in a stiff beta animation way but in a whole another way. her feet just look so awkward. I'm not a ballet expert by any means, ive been only to a couple of performances, yet her dancing just looks physically impossible. and yeah we have dragons and flying motorcycles, but don't you think that's a bit too much? like it's a very fundamental thing, a thing that is meant to work in fiction, a thing that isnt really meant to be changed

I've seen a lot of ballerinas critique her idle animation as well. Things like her form were off such as her leg placement. I actually really love Odette and I wish Hoyo just put a little bit more effort into her

my main issue with her shoes is that they could've given her heals, but still stylized it to be more resembling of an actual Pointe shoes

they coudve made the shoes ballerina ones and the heel be made out of cryo so that when she dances it goes away and maybe in the end she creates new heels idk just a thought
