I feel so bad for him bro, he always knew the movies we’re gonna suck but had to go through with it anyway, and he knew they were gonna damage Luke’s character. Luke skywalker really could use a comeback in a clone wars style animated series or something like in mandolorian and book of boba fett, poor guy needs a break 🥲

Hammill pitched complete changes to the script. He wanted to be revealed when he saved Leia disguised as a storm trooper and wanted he and Leia to attempt to rescue Han but fail and be there when he dies. I know when I really like scripts I recommend a completely alternate storyline.

Lucas told Hamill decades ago how he wanted the sequel trilogy to go (it wasn’t the one Lucas claimed it was recently). He knew it was a stinker, but Ford told he and Carrie to do it for the money.

If they would have just done it right and not destroyed everyone's beloved characters I would have probably felt a little bit of my childhood in it. With rouge one I most definitely did. Fkn love that movie. The sequels I didn't feel a dam think except maybe The Force Awakens in a scene or 2
