@coachmontessori: Children don’t learn generosity by being forced to give something away. They learn generosity by experiencing it. 🤍 When we say: “Give it to your brother.” “Share your toy.” “Don’t be selfish.” What does the child actually experience? Someone bigger taking something they were enjoying and giving it to someone else. That’s not sharing. That’s losing control over what was theirs. Instead, model the behaviour you want to see. Let them see you sharing. Let them experience your generosity. “I have some chocolate. Would you like some?” “I’m happy to share with you.” Because children naturally imitate the world around them.
