@crimexpod: A 15-year-old boy pleaded for his life. "Please... I'll give you $40. Just don't shoot me." His older brother ignored his cries and pulled the trigger. Take a moment to process that. It wasn't a stranger. It wasn't a robbery. It wasn't a random act of violence. It was his own brother. On January 24, 2021, a terrified teenager staggered onto a neighbor's porch in Indianapolis after escaping a horrific scene inside his home. Covered in blood from multiple gunshot wounds, 15-year-old Xavier Childs told responding officers: "They killed my whole family." Investigators say the violence began after 17-year-old Raymond Childs III was disciplined by his father for leaving the house without permission. What followed was unimaginable. According to court testimony, Xavier heard gunshots erupt upstairs, followed by his 13-year-old sister Rita screaming: "He shot Elijah!" Authorities say Raymond then continued shooting family members throughout the home before chasing Xavier outside. Fighting to stay alive, Xavier reportedly offered every dollar he had—just $40—in exchange for his life. It wasn't enough. He was shot multiple times, yet somehow survived. The others never got that chance. 💔 Raymond Childs Jr. (42) – Father 💔 Kizzie Childs (42) – Stepmother 💔 Elijah Childs (18) – Brother 💔 Rita Childs (13) – Sister 💔 Kiara Hawkins (19) – Elijah's pregnant girlfriend 💔 Baby Khaos Hawkins – An unborn baby boy Six innocent lives were lost. One survivor remains to carry the memories. It's almost impossible to imagine waking up with your entire family... and by the end of the day, becoming the only one left alive. Some stories stay with you forever. Source: @omnifromtheleague
