Well, 17 days after I laid my precious Paisley to rest, my sweet Liberty was also laid to rest. Liberty was so very special. And losing her had left a huge hole in my heart. She was my ‘oops’ save at Bowie auction Aug/24. I saw a horse in one of Tahlia’s stories that caught my eye. It was being loaded for Mexico and I couldn’t let that happen. I messaged Tahlia and asked if she could pull the horse. And she did so I thought. After I looked twice at the picture she sent me I realized it wasn’t the horse I wanted. To make a long story short, we finally got the right horse, but what was I suppose to do with Liberty. Telling her she was pulled by mistake and now had to get on the truck to her death was not an option. So I got 2 horses that weekend. I can’t tell you what a blessing she was. This girl was always happy! She loved people and was so kind and gentle. She had the most beautiful, soft and kind eyes. I never got to meet her in person, as she was boarded at a friend’s in Texas. I got updates on her all the time as well as videos/pictures. I loved her from afar and my heart is truly broken. She hit her shoulder a couple weeks ago, but showed no signs of pain or injury until Monday. She became severely lame, almost overnight. The vet did an ultrasound and found a large hematoma in her shoulder. He thinks what happened is that her injured shoulder finally gave out and broke. The problem is this was her right shoulder, and her left foot had a subluxation, which was a time bomb waiting to go off. If her bad foot ever twisted she would have to be laid to rest. 🐴💔CONTINUED IN COMMENTS
