My mom let me drive with her like…..5 times I think? Would SCREAM at me the entire time, especially when I made a mistake. I didn’t wanna learn anymore. Meanwhile-my brother learned and she had al the patience. Even helped him buy his first car.

This is so sad. As a single mom I taught my kids to drive starting at 14. Permits at 15. Bank account at 10, laundry 8, cook 12, we gotta prepare them!

These type of parents want to keep their kids depent on them for as long as possible but their kids have to eventually know how to drive and can't always depend on their parents forever.

i am 22, i have less than 10hours of my recorded hours needed to get my P Plates, it is so embarassing to try and take a girl out on a date and say, o just meet me there and get yourself home. I cannot afford the price of lessions, this is hell.

Nobody taught me bc they “didn’t have time”. I was told “buy a car and I’ll teach you!” After buying and selling 4 cars, I didn’t learn until my former roommate taught me to drive at age 23.

they didn’t teach me about credit cards/scores. how to buy a car. how to invest. how to cook. how to do my own laundry and as soon as i turned 18 they yelled at me for not magically knowing how to do any of those stuff
