We also look at contractions, the baby’s wellbeing, the mother’s behaviour, and how labour is unfolding overall. If the membranes are still bulging, they can sometimes make the cervix feel more dilated than it actually is. After the waters break, the cervix may simply be easier to assess. Mothers behaviour is so true because when I got to the hospital I was told to seat down but I couldn’t I kept standing up n walking around the ward ,when I was asked to go pee I came back with an empty cup n told the nurse I want to poo not pee so she better allow me to poo! N that’s when she told me to go to the bed n poo😂😂
