Combining Dhuhr and 'Asr is established. (Explained in the previous clip) It is permissible for valid reasons like travel, sickness, or heavy rain according to consensus and the Sunnah. 2. Combining 'Asr with Jumu'ah — The Differing View The Shafi‘is and some Hanbalis permit it, arguing that Jumu‘ah is a substitute for Dhuhr so it takes the same ruling. 3. The Stronger and Majority View: PROHIBITION The Malikis, majority of Hanbalis, one view of Hanafis, and scholars like Ibn Baz and Ibn ‘Uthaymeen hold that it is NOT permissible to combine 'Asr with Jumu'ah at all. 4. Why it’s NOT PERMITTED Because there is no evidence from the Prophet ﷺ or the Sahabah Rodiyallaahu anhum- doing it, even when it rained heavily on Jumu‘ah. Also, Jumu‘ah is an independent prayer with many rulings that differ from Dhuhr, so qiyas/analogy is not valid here. 5. The Basic Principle The default in worship is prohibition except with evidence.
