@agatemagnet: My friend and I went rockhounding for carnelian and we each found some really amazing pieces! At the end I show the difference between creek stained carnelian compared to clean carnelian that was soaked in oxalic acid! Soaking carnelian in the acid for a couple hours gets them super clean! I live for the hunt, the hike, the water, and the rocks! Even after doing this for 7 years I still get very excited when I find agates! Yes they are worth money but I collect these for myself and I also like to gift them to people, friends, and family. So to me it's not all about the money. This is more for my own happiness!
