It’s true, disassociation isn’t peace, it’s ignorance. Ignoring the rain won’t stop you getting wet. Knowing the rain helps give plants life will make getting wet less awful.

When the emotion grips you more than reality, don't ignore it. Acknowledge it is a chemical response to stimuli. Appreciate that knowledge. Then decide what to do.

Unbothered implies a lack of importance because “it” isn’t stirring up any emotions inside you. It must move you deeply, but being able to act in a productive way despite feeling such large emotions is where passion and motivation are born, and where problem solving can take the place of overthinking or acting based on short term impulsivity. I personally struggle with this a LOT😅

I was trained to find the problems and solve them. It burns me out so much and has made me a pessimist. I am working on building my tolerance to inconveniences. So, instead of seeing something as needing to be fixed & owning that responsibility, I notice it, accept it, and move through it one step at a time. Ask for help if needed. And then move forward. No ruminating. This life is too precious to get caught up in the “hard” things. It’s only hard if we make it hard. So why not make it easier for ourselves?
