I honestly don't understand people who DON'T like durian.Like,I get it,the smell is strong af,but the taste has nothing to do with the smell.It's creamy and sweet,it's basically custard in a fruit.What's not to like?

Native American who traveled to Vietnam for 3 months.. Absolutely LOVED durian. I wasn’t expecting that but it’s like creamy and has a sweetness to it. It feels like a custard consistency. It’s SO good, I haven’t had it since I left though 😭

I am him! I used to eat them when I was around 15-16, back then the texture grosses me out. Thought I hated it until this past May. I was in Asia, so I decided to try durian again and I can't get enough of them. I even planned a whole trip to durian farms l for the fresh ones. They are heavenly 👌

I bought durian wafers in Chinatown and they tasted like a very sweet onion. Never had the actual fruit but I had heard it was so sweet….then why do the wafers taste like that!?
