Spray the wallpaper and get it real wet. Then use a wallpaper scorer and it will peel right off. No heat required. I’ve done it many times.

Spray vinegar water on wall. Let it sit a bit and then scrape.

Wet the wall paper with a sponge and it should scrape off easier.

Mix one part liquid fabric softener with 1 to 3 parts hot water in a spray bottle or bucket. Score the wallpaper, liberally apply the solution, and let it soak for 15 to 20 minutes. The solution penetrates the paper and breaks down the adhesive, allowing you to easily scrape it off.
