@rorysutherlandclips: Rory Sutherland on why the biggest innovations were hiding in plain sight. Uber did not make taxis faster. It killed the anxiety of not knowing if one was coming. Apple did not build a more powerful computer. It asked how using one should feel. Rory Sutherland argues that almost every major innovation is someone noticing a metric everybody else has ignored and doubling down on it. The problem was always there. Nobody was looking at it. Worst example ever. When I open Uber app i can know EXACTLY how many ubers are around me and how much Id have to way for one. When Im in a city Ive never been where do I call to get a taxi? When they say theyll be there in five min how do I know its true? How do I know they are going though the best route?

Excelente. UX went from human user experience to a programming methodology, and yes, AI innovation removed programming from the metric.

By definition, if it's an innovation then it's not an incremental improvement.

Thanks! You’ve probably just saved me a lot of pain trying to sell an innovation on the basis of old benchmarks.

You can book an Uber now and they will cancel because they got a better offer now. They haven’t improved anything they just killed a lot of competitors, smaller businesses and self employed
