My dad used to work on towers, so he’d be working up in the mountains, and they’d take their breaks inside these containers. It was so congested in there, with everyone smoking and eating at the same time,my dad included. 😂One day, he looked around, realised the whole place smelled like 💩, and just thought, “This is disgusting. I’m done.”And that was it. He never smoked another cigarette again. 😂

smoked for 20+ years, tried nicotine gum, the nicotine patch - nothing worked. finally decided I was done, and that was it, never had another cigarette. Mind over matter. once you decide to be done, it's relatively easy.

I had smoked for about 30 years and was able to quit with the Rx Chantix. MIRACLE drug in my opinion. been smoke free for 10 years next mo

I had to use hypnosis, still had the cravings but something was stopping me from lighting one up. After the cravings stopped, never looked back.

I quit cigs 5+years ago and quit drinking last year. 3 more mo will be 1 year with no alcohol but it just becomes a decision worth making on both accounts. You need to be mentally prepared and then you just do it.

I can attest nicotine has me in GRIPS that I love. THAT is the problem. I don’t love oxy. I don’t love alcohol. I didn’t love benzos. I LOVE my smokes. 🤦♀️

I had a similar thing happened to me. From the years 21 to 40 I probably smoked a pack maybe a pack and a half a day. I had a sore throat that would not go away. It scared the shit out of me. This was 2005. I went to Ecker drugstore. They are not around anymore. Bought a patch. I had two packs of Marlboro lights sitting on the counter I threw them in the trash and never smoked again. It was difficult for about two weeks. Best decision I ever made my hair smells clean my body smells clean. My house smells clean after that. I got married. I know would’ve never gotten married if I’ve been smoking. I think God for helping me quit. By the way, happy Fourth of July.
