i admire you straw hat, but saying the atla adaptation is good is objectively wrong. you can like certain aspects of it, even i do, but it feels as if the series has essentially driven away from the theme of the original show by how bad the acting/directing/storytelling is portrayed. there are some things that are done well however, like the iroh honoring lu ten scene.

The reaction you’re getting is definitely extreme, but the live action objectively changed the entire foundation of the animated series and yet is still pretending to be a faithful adaptation. If they had said from the beginning that they would be making changes and it would be different then fine. But they haven’t, which means the writing is bad. Almost all of Aang’s decisions made during sozin’s comet can’t be justified with the changes made and that’s like the whole point of the show

I think this show is a bad adaptation, however if you take it as its own show that’s inspired by the original it’s actually really good. I think that show fit thst time and this show fits this time with political themes (hidden propaganda vs blatant propaganda)

It’s crazy people calling bad. And never even watch it. Don’t get me wrong. There were some cringe moments. But it was still really good. Visuals amazing , Acting really good , story telling. Wow. I swear If everyone’s minds were wiped and they never watch the animation , they would Love the live action. Coz There’s a lot of people that never watched the animation , but watched the Live action. And they too loved it.
