really thought having eczema meant I was just going to suffer forever 😭 34 years later, I’ve learned SO much about how to manage my skin. Some of the biggest things: • Learning my actual triggers instead of guessing • Getting patch testing done, specifically the North American 70 series • Paying attention to ingredients in my skincare - like avoiding beeswax, propylene glycol and lanolin • Keeping my routine simple - literally! Maybe Vaseline + another moisturizer like La Roche Posays eczema cream • Managing stress - through meditation, journaling, moving my body and more • Protecting my skin barrier - moisturize, moisturize, moisturize and SPF! • Learning what to do at the FIRST sign of a flare instead of waiting until it gets bad aka taking action AS SOON AS I feel an itch • Accepting that what works for someone else might not work for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ I still have eczema. I still flare. But I understand my skin sooo much better now, and that has made the biggest difference.
