Late finishes, weekends gone, missing family time and constantly counting down to payday. As a mum, the hardest part wasn’t even the work itself. It was missing moments with my little girl that I knew I could never get back. The rushed mornings. The missed bedtimes. The feeling that I was working so hard but somehow still missing out on the bits that mattered most. I remember sitting there thinking… “There has to be another way.” I’d watch people building businesses online and creating more freedom for themselves and their families, and honestly, I had no idea where to even begin. Not because I didn’t want it badly enough. I just genuinely didn’t know what the first step looked like. So instead of continuing to watch everyone else do it, I decided to start learning. I stopped telling myself I needed to be more confident, more experienced or somehow “ready” first. I stopped waiting for the perfect time. And I started learning new skills in the little pockets of time I had around being a busy mum, school runs, family life and everything else that comes with it. I had no clue where it would lead. But that one decision changed everything. Since then, I’ve generated over £91,000 online, left behind the shifts that were stealing my time, and built a life that gives me so much more flexibility than I ever thought was possible. But the thing I’m most proud of isn’t the money. It’s proving to myself that I was capable of more than I believed. Because if a busy mum working pub shifts, juggling family life and wondering if there was something more out there could figure it out… Maybe you don’t need to have everything worked out before you begin either.
