@virtualmath123: Why didn’t anyone teach division like this? 🤯 For some students, traditional long division clicks. For others, partial quotients helps them actually understand what’s happening instead of just memorizing steps. The best part? Both methods lead to the same correct answer. Math isn’t about one “right” strategy—it’s about building understanding. 👇 Tell me in the comments: Which method makes more sense to you? 📌 Save this Reel so you can come back to it later. 📤 Share it with a teacher or parent who needs to see this. ➕ Follow @virtualmath123 for simple math strategies that build confidence, not confusion. #elementarymath #mathteacher #math #teachersofinstagram #teacherlife mathhelp homeschool parenting education thirdgrade fourthgrade mathintervention numbertalks teachingmath learnmath
As a teacher, it drives me nuts that you did not put your subtraction sign😂

They have taught this. A few of my students have shown this way to me when they come from 5th to 6th grade. As a middle school math teacher, It starts to become tricky when you’re dealing with decimals and also how does it look with remainders

Division is just multiplication - teach the kids their times tables and they’ll understand division….
