forcefully agitating the whiskey to introduce air increase the oxidation of the flavonoids and evaporation of the alcohol. it damages the aromas for which this glass is intended to harness.

you have to be careful tho, do it to the wrong alcohol and it's ruined, to much oxygen can make the flavor worse
