I drove a manual for 20 years and I doubt this. You basically stop thinking about shifting about it after a few years. it becomes muscle memory

Even better ride a motorcycle. Left foot gear shift, right foot rear brake, left hand clutch and signals, right front brake and throttle. All while maintaining balance.

I believe everyone should start with a manual transmission, for at least the first 3-5 years of driving. I also believe that after you turn 65-70 you should have to take a driving test annually to maintain your driving license.
