Sticky Garlic Honey BBQ Beef Short Ribs Ingredients 1. Beef Short Ribs – 4 lbs 2. Olive Oil – 2 tbsp 3. Honey – 1/3 cup 4. BBQ Sauce – 1 cup 5. Soy Sauce – 1/4 cup 6. Worcestershire Sauce – 2 tbsp 7. Brown Sugar – 2 tbsp 8. Garlic – 8 cloves, minced 9. Tomato Paste – 2 tbsp 10. Apple Cider Vinegar – 2 tbsp 11. Smoked Paprika – 2 tsp 12. Garlic Powder – 1 tsp 13. Onion Powder – 1 tsp 14. Ground Black Pepper – 1 tsp 15. Salt – 1 1/2 tsp 16. Chili Flakes – 1/2 tsp 17. Beef Broth – 1 cup 18. Fresh Parsley – 2 tbsp, chopped Recipe 1. Remove the beef short ribs from the refrigerator and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels. Trim away any excessively thick pieces of fat while keeping enough fat for flavor and tenderness. 2. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and chili flakes. 3. Rub the beef ribs with olive oil, then coat every side generously with the prepared seasoning mixture. Allow the ribs to rest for 20–30 minutes. 4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the short ribs in batches until a deep brown crust develops on all sides. Transfer them to a roasting tray. 5. In a separate bowl, combine BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, tomato paste, and apple cider vinegar. 6. Pour the beef broth into the bottom of the roasting tray. Brush the short ribs generously with the prepared honey garlic BBQ sauce. 7. Cover the tray tightly with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven at 300°F (150°C). Cook for approximately 3–4 hours until the beef becomes extremely tender and nearly falls off the bone. 8. Carefully remove the tray from the oven and check the tenderness with a fork. The meat should pull apart easily without resistance. 9. Transfer the ribs carefully to a foil-lined baking sheet. Strain the cooking juices into a saucepan and skim away excess fat if necessary. 10. Add several spoonfuls of the cooking juices to the remaining BBQ sauce mixture. Simmer over medium-low heat for 5–7 minutes until thick, glossy, and sticky. 11. Brush the ribs generously with the thickened honey garlic BBQ glaze, making sure every surface is coated. 12. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C). Return the ribs to the oven uncovered for 8–12 minutes until the glaze caramelizes and develops a beautiful dark, shiny finish. 13. Turn the ribs once and brush with another layer of glaze. Cook for another 3–5 minutes, watching carefully to prevent the honey from burning. 14. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes. Spoon the remaining warm BBQ glaze and flavorful pan juices over the top. 15. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot with roasted potatoes, grilled vegetables, or creamy mashed potatoes. Follow for more mouthwatering BBQ recipes and delicious homemade meals!
