100% correct, they wouldn't give you any money back if it was reduced even more.

They’re meant to honour the price as it’s a straight exchange

Im a manager in a retail store and we have things on a deal and an offer all the time. If someone brings back something for a refund, it is refunded for the amount they paid. NOT what the price is now. If its an exchange, you scan the item and scan the new item and reduce it so it matches what thst person paid. I cant see how they're getting away with this 🤔.

They’re supposed to honour the price on the receipt. Would be different if you didn’t have the receipt. Makes no sense for them to charge him extra.

The petrol you’ve used driving back there for an argument is probably worth more than the £3.60

If you returned it you’d get your original purchase price back, then to buy the new size pay the new price - so surely the shop is right? Only an outright exchange if it’s same price? But reading the comments this is wrong but I don’t understand how 😆😆😰🤷🏼♀️

If £3.60 is an issue for you, maybe you shouldn't be buying it in the first place 👍

That is absolutely illegal. Complaint to trading standards and (as an ex chief executive letter writer for Sainsbury’s) I’m telling you to complain to the chief exec and you’ll get a voucher.

It was under promotion - it’s at the discretion of the business if they honour the discount outwith the time it finished. You weren’t t right, you were given a goodwill gesture
