From pale to pink…After deworming roundworms and coccidia, 2 blood transfusions, ongoing Nutrical, endless Pedialyte, iron supplements, antibiotics, medication I can’t pronounce, and a warm bath and blow dry over the last 72 hrs…Choo Choo is showing good vital signs! Pink gums, pink tongue and paws! I can literally see blood running through his veins again! He’s still very weak, moaning, has diarrhea, but it’s darkening and becoming firm! He’s able to lift his head and stand for a few seconds here and there. Keep praying! 🥹 Keep donating! We’re aiming for one more blood transfusion Monday if necessary. We need to keep his red blood cell count high to win this fight, and we are winning!!! To everyone who has donated toward Choo Choo…I love you all so much! You don’t understand how much every penny has felt like a heartbeat for Choo Choo! This rescue operation is turning out to be something like a miracle! There have been so many times his condition was so graphic that I couldn’t post it. I care too much to be grossed out, but I’m pretty sure everything I’ve worn over the last four weeks has diarrhea on it or smells like poop. Nine puppies would’ve crossed the rainbow bridge within three weeks to a year without treatment. So if you’re ever donating and feel like it’s not that much, please hear me when I say every cent to the dollar is like a heartbeat. I promise you it matters. I love you all.
