@realsimonsquibb: Whole countries can’t even tell their story properly. Let alone people. Nations spend billions trying to shape how the world sees them and still get it wrong. So what chance does the average person have, when nobody ever taught them how? We were never taught how to make someone care about you in 30 seconds. That’s the skill everything else runs on. Whether it’s an interview or a pitch. Or a first date with someone you like. The person in the room is deciding whether to back you based on the story you tell. Learn to tell your story. It’s the one skill that opens every door the others can’t. My new book will teach you how. You can be one of the first to get it through the link in bio 🔗 #simonsquibb #business #whatsyourstory

America is not a country though. The US is though. and the people are United statesian.....if you refer to America, do you mean north or south? North America has over 30 countries, the US is one of them.

While in the service of the Spanish Empire, Amerigo Vespucci determined that the new land the Spaniards had reached was not the Indies but a new continent; consequently, the Spanish Empire named that continent America. It was the English who began (incorrectly) referring to their colonies in the New World as "America," and the rest is history... they appropriated the name "America" for their new country, effectively taking it from the continent itself.
