Unbrush or a wet brush after a shower only. Most other brushes pull hair out and absolutely suck. Make sure you’re using a detangling spray or serum too

If he has curls or curly hair (looked like you did), then stick with the wide tooth comb. Best thing and prevents the puff. If he really wants a brush then put and leave in conditioner before using a wet brush.

Get a good brush and a leave in conditioner. Make sure he is washing and conditioning. And every once in a while do a hair mask instead of conditioner. Have an oil on hand for frizzy days.

My hair is super long and thick - I use unbrush and wet brush- the wet brushes have one specifically for after shower - detangle - I’ve gotten them all at tJ maxx
