@hey.lauranicole: This week reminded me of how much I love what I do. I got to take Little Miss to her swim lesson & see the joy and pride on her face when she graduated another level. I got to take an afternoon nap when I had a headache instead of “pushing through.” My husband and I went on a spontaneous day date. Our neighbors brought their kids over for a pool day. I cooked banana bread with Little Miss, and we perfected our sunny side up egg. I spent time on my new hobby - making beaded necklaces. Little Miss & I cuddled on the couch watching & laughing at our favorite dog account. ….. I used to DREAM of a life, and motherhood, just like this. I didn’t dream of living in luxury - I just wanted a life of presence and memories with the people I love most while also getting out of the vicious paycheck to paycheck cycle. But I felt COMPLETELY stuck in my 9-5, the traditional job I was told my whole life (just like you were) was the “right way” and the “safe way”. Turns out - once I stepped outside the box handed to me - I not only tripled my income but also reclaimed my motherhood and was actually able to give my daughter the childhood I dreamed of her having. It’s the simple things in life that mean the most, and I’m able to be present for all of them because I chose to create my income from home as a Virtual Assistant. Even better??
