My only thing with tadc is that by episode 4 the creator decided that they weren’t going to do filler episodes because they wanted to tell the story and not waste people’s time (paraphrasing). They decided on 9 episodes from there. When the ending came out, people kept saying the studio restricted them to 9 episodes, but forget the creator said they didn’t want filler episodes, otherwise logically it could’ve kept going. So with 5 episodes that you KNOW is all you’re getting, the story arcs should’ve been created from there. You know you’re ending, make them fit all 5 episodes before even working on episode 5. I don’t mind the Jax stuff, it was emotional and I related to some of it, but the setup in the first episode was “how did Pomni get there, why is she there, who did it, why did they do it, who are these people” and altho most got answered, the biggest question of the company was never really explained outside the world of these characters, nor was Pomni, gangle, and zooble’s backstories besides the monologue at the end. Yes it wrapped these characters up but the broader world wasn’t setup for imagination or a potential spin off with different characters even if they didn’t do it. Cuz usually finales either end in a dead stop like Carol’s show or the finale ends with knowing that it lives on even if we never see these people again. Tadc does to an extent but doesn’t leave the door open to something. Like stopping at the door but not opening it and decide later if you want to go through it or not. Idk if any of that makes sense lol
