my goal for June was to make atleast $100 selling stuff that I didn't need..... I crushed that goal and ended up with $545 in sales.

I added up property taxes, vet bills, car registration, and any other yearly or sporadic bills we have. Divided by 12 and out that into savings each month.

I just sent this to my husband and told him to follow you. I think this will help us. If we discuss your suggestions I think together we can use this like a daily seminar.

I recommend using a budgeting app. That helps the most because it tracks all your expenditures , income, investments, cash flow, etc. That is the single most valuable thing I used to increase my net worth by over 200,000 over the past three years. And I am also retired, but living on a very good income which allows me to save about $5,000 a month on average, even after spending about 40,000 on travel every year, and relatively large expenses on things I have no control over like dental emergencies and vet costs. . I have the money but still want to make sure I have money for everything I need as I get older. You do not have to deprive yourself of everything to save money but you have to exercise restraint when possible.

Our trips are often partly on airline points, we rent apartments with kitchens and make our own breakfasts, get takeout and some restaurants. We sometimes use brief organized tours but use long-distance buses or trains, taxis if they are cheap. Huge savings

Since I limit our eating out to 3 times a month (e we usually only spend about $30 each time) it’s become fun to see if we can cut that back to 1 or 2!
