Either he is omnipotent or he isn’t, there can’t be both

I could never get past the question “if god knew sin was wrong, why did he create it in the first place?”

The point he made I don't see how you win against it.

Adam and Eve were essentially newborns and expected to understand what the consequences would be if they ate from the tree.

If God is truly omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent, then everything unfolds according to a plan he already authored. That includes the existence of sin and the outcome of salvation for some and not others. In that framework, free will becomes questionable, because even the “choices” people make would already be known and designed from the beginning.

" I knew you'd be here", but you didn't. you believed that there was a very high likelihood that he would be there, but you didn't know it was 100% certainty.

His point being knowing the future means it will happen no matter what. Therefore your decisions were already decided no matter what. Therefore you didn’t really make the decision.

the thing I would never understand no matter how many times I read the Bible is why did God threaten Adam and Eve with death if they did not even know what death was until AFTER they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. that's like telling a toddler not to climb up on the table or they'd die they would have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about.

God being able to see the future negates all free will, because those choices have already been made, else god would not be able to see the future.

Agent or not, we don't have free will anyway. Every decision, every choice is motivated by something that came before it, cause-and-effect-style, so there is no such thing as a truly free choice.

God didn’t actually punish whole humanity because of what Adam. Adam asked for forgiveness and God forgave him instantly.

If there is an all knowing creator or everything.. then it doesn’t even have free will. It always knows and has know.. what it WILL do.. there is one set path for absolutely everything especially it. 10000% Hard determinism.

All knowing = knows all. As in, if you were to walk up to a fork in the road. God knows what happens at the end of each path. So no matter what happens, he knew the outcome. The choice is ours on the path. 👏

If I have the option to do a good thing or a bad thing, and god knows that I am gonna do the bad thing, if he is all knowing and can never be wrong, then it is literally impossible for me to freely choose to do the good thing. Free will and an omniscient god are mutually exclusive things.

‘I knew you were gonna be here tonight’. No you didn’t, you assumed and there was a high percentage chance. But you didn’t know for sure, he could’ve been hit by a bus on the way there. If you had knowledge where whatever you know MUST come true, then you make people who will do the things you know they’ll do and they can’t do any differently. It’s very different.
