they needed each other so badly. without bucky, sam wouldn't have decided to pick up the shield. and without sam, bucky wouldn't have realized that his past is not who he is anymore and that he is allowed to feel things other than guilt. i love them so much.

Before Sam was recruited by Steve he was working with veterans who suffered with ptsd so it makes why Steve would choose him to be the symbol of captain America he’s honorable and even helped Bucky see his worth.

i didn’t watch this series in particular but from the clips i’ve seen of the other marvel movies Sam is a WAY better friend to Bucky than Steve ever was. right here his “advice” to Bucky hardly seems fair, but Sam tells him this bc he knows Bucky wants to be better and he’s hopeful that if Bucky “does the work” he’ll find some closure himself

The 1st time we meet Sam he’s running in the morning, working on himself. The 2nd time we meet with Sam it’s at the VA, helping others. I wish we got more VA Sam helping others through the films. Loved these few moments in the show.
