the dream is watching anime with the subtitles off, and re-reading vocab lists was never going to get me there. i spent my whole first year re-reading notes and wondering why nothing stayed. turns out reading is not remembering. four things in the slides: blurting (study 10 min, close everything, dump what you remember), active recall, the feynman method, and the 30-5-30 block where the second 30 is recall only. for the recall part i use Kana - Language Partner — i cover the english and say the japanese out loud, the AI character answers back in voice and fixes me live. saying it wrong to an app is a lot cheaper than saying it wrong to a person, and it's how は vs が finally stopped being a coin flip for me. free to start — the app is in my bio. passed n4 on these. currently getting humbled by n3. save this and try blurting tonight 📌 #learnjapanese #anime #japanesestudy #nihongo #jlpt
