Because of its extremely short, nocturnal lifespan and inability to be harvested or transported, it is considered one of the most expensive and priceless flowers.Key Facts about Kadupul Mala:Blooming Pattern: Blooms at night (around 10 pm–11 pm) and wilts within a few hours, usually on full moon days.Appearance: White and yellow, growing 10 to 30 cm in diameter.Cultural Significance: Symbolizes purity and transient beauty in Sri Lanka. I took this video on May 1, 2026.
